Waste Week is back from 8-12 March and this year’s theme is e-waste.
We all love new tech, but our growing use of electronic and electrical devices is creating a BIG waste problem.
In fact, the UK is second in the world for creating the most electronic waste – and we’re on course to hold the number one spot by 2023!
We’re also a nation of hoarders and, if we want to help the planet, we should be recycling our old tech. This would cut as much CO2 as taking 1.3 million cars off the road.
Join us this Waste Week to learn why e-waste is such a hot topic and, importantly, what schools, young people and their families can do about it.
We are developing new assembly and curriculum-linked resources, an info-pack, poster pack and fun activities to support your campaign. Sign up to be the first to hear about these.
