- Energy
Say goodbye to standby in this lesson plan about wasting energy.
Leaving electronic devices on standby can waste a lot of energy. Saying goodbye to standby is a great way to get students involved and interested in saving energy. They will soon get into the habit of turning devices off – and reminding teachers to as well!
This lesson plan supports the Switch Off Fortnight campaign, but can also be used as a standalone lesson.

Geography Students research and assess the environmental consequences of using 'standby' mode, and consider ways to positively change people's behaviour.
