What I / we did:

The ECO team asked for donations of tins of food. We entered a competition with a local charity called 'Tin Sculpture'. Once we had submitted our entry, the charity collected the tins to donate to a local food bank. This is to help fight against holiday hunger.

How many volunteers took part:

10

How many hours I / we spent:

2.5

The impact it had on my/our community:

We enjoyed planning and constructing our tin sculpture to enter into the competition. We also discussed 'holiday hunger' and what exactly it means. It has made a us feel proud to be able to help local families that may be struggling.

How has it helped you?

The tins have been donated to a local food bank. These will help families who struggle during the school holidays when their children are unable to access free school meals. one tin doesn't meen a lot to us, but to these families one tin means a lot, they ae able to feed their children.
