What I / we did:

We took part in Waste Week our focus was on recycling. We held a 'Cash for Clobber' appeal, with all the money raised going to the development charity Trocaire. We set up a cash for clobber team who desiigned and presented an asembly resource at all our year group assemblies. Our teams visited classroom in rotation each morning during the appeal week (actually 10 days!) to encourage donations. Team members also manned the collection point early each morning. We collected 460 large bags (full black bin bags) of cloth as part of our Waste Week appeal.

How many volunteers took part:

How many hours I / we spent:

The impact it had on my/our community:

We collected 460 bags of recycled cloth (clothing shoes sheets etc.). We posted up regular updates of the Waste Week campaign on our school intranet and we thanked everyone for participating in Waste Week/Cash for Clbber on our School website, Facebook and Twirrer accounts.

How has it helped you?

We raised awareness of Waste Week throughout the school. We helped raise awareness of the benefits of recycling collecting cloth for example it means we can support our chosen charities and help reduce landfill.
