CNN's Call to Earth Day: Connected Generations
Hello from CNN's Call to Earth team!
We're excited to announce that the Call to Earth Day 2024: Connected Generations campaign has officially begun, and you can be a part of it! This year, we celebrate the ancestral knowledge and sustainable living practices that indigenous peoples around our planet have developed over thousands of years.
We also want to motivate young people around the world to maintain that spirit of sustainable living that our ancestors taught us and take the necessary steps to have a more beautiful, cleaner and healthier community.
Therefore, we need the help of schools, universities and organisations like yours, to spread this message among students or people committed to the environment and organise the largest cleanup for our planet.
This global effort will end on December 4, 2024, with the fourth edition of CNN's annual event, Call to Earth Day: Connected Generations. On that day, we will see thousands of young people and environmentalists willing to clean up their schools, neighbourhoods, beaches, rivers, and public areas, all while learning from the past to create a better future. CNN will be closely monitoring these efforts, highlighting the best and busiest cleanup activities.
You and your school or organisation can be a part of this Call to Earth Day. Just follow these simple steps:
- Register your event in advance.
This will help us keep track of what you're planning and know who to contact if we want to feature your event on TV or our website. - Post your activities on Instagram, X, or TikTok between now and 4 December.
Remember to use the hashtag #CallToEarth and include information about where your event took place, how many people participated, and the amount of rubbish collected.
That's it!
Whether your activity involves one or a thousand people, what matters is the positive impact that can inspire millions of others around the world.
