For schools who have found out what’s under their feet - it is now time to start entering your data on the Pod!

Why do I need to enter my data?

By entering your data, your pupils will become citizen scientists - contributing to a valuable and nation-wide experiment.

Plus – all schools that feedback will be credited in the paper being written by the scientists, and could win a trip to meet BTO President and TV wildlife presenter Chris Packham!

This campaign is helping scientists at the British Trust for Ornithology (the UK’s leading bird research organisation), to find out more about the potential relationship between climate, the availability of invertebrates and how this impacts UK bird numbers and their migration patterns.

Don’t forget – you have three fantastic opportunities to take part in the experiment (and be entered into the prize draw), with further digs taking place in March and June.

Thank you!
