6 top tips to make your campaign a success

Emily

It's nearly time for Switch Off Fortnight!  We've pulled together our top tips to help make your campaign a big success.

  1. Download the campaign resources – we’ve got presentations, lesson plans, quick activities, movies, facts, games and more.
  2. Record your energy usage so you can measure the savings you make – run our Switch Off Fortnight audit at the start and end of your campaign and upload your results to the Pod. Not only will this tell you where energy is being wasted, but it will also show you how much energy you’ve saved. (A great tool for your eco club to use for accreditation.)
  3. Spread the word – blog on the Pod about your activities and share on social media #SOF2017 @edfenergy, we’ve loved reading the posts so far!
  4. Get recognition – tell parents and the local community what you’re doing and how they can help. Why not use our template press release – you might then get media coverage for your efforts too!
  5. Create friendly competition – some of our top saving schools find running competitions between year groups or classes encourages everyone to try that little bit harder. You might also like to get students playing Power Patrol and see who can get the highest score!
  6. Reward students achievements – with our student certificates. A whole school assembly is a great forum for celebrating the extra special effort they’ve made.

Whatever you do for Switch Off Fortnight, we’re sure you’ll enjoy taking part.
