What I / we did:

Working with the National Trust to help maintain the New Inn Farmhouse Garden at Stowe Gardens, Buckinghamshire. We have grown vegetables and herbs for use in the café, weeded paths and beds and cleared lots of leaves!

How many volunteers took part:

8

How many hours I / we spent:

240

The impact it had on my/our community:

Our work in the garden has been appreciated well by the National Trust, and the visitors who come to the property. It has taught the students about looking after plants, and healthy eating, as well as spending time outdoors. It has also been beneficial as it has been part of the students' Volunteering for their Duke of Edinburgh Awards.

How has it helped you?

It has helped to bolster links with the National Trust who I personally volunteer with on a regular basis
