Our School Buddies and older children have gone above and beyond their 'role' at playtime and have shown initiative helping the younger children and in helping the adults with additional jobs. Some have also worked with adults to demonstrated being 'good friends' to other children who struggle with this.…Read more

We organised a school's Cash for Clobber collection, encouraging pupils to recycle clothing. All the money raised was donated to the development charity Project Zambia. We spoke at all Year Group assemblies, posted appeal posters around the school and helped collect the clothes every morning over 2 weeks.…Read more

The Pupil Council and Eco Committee decided to use some of our school's Eco fund that we raise through recycling old clothes, shoes and printer cartridges to make a donation of £15 to help start businesses in Pakistan and South America, through the Lend with Care scheme. The businesses can then buy materials needed to start their business. They can pay back the interest free loan in small increments over time.…Read more

On Friday 30th of September 2016, PVC hosted a Macmillan coffee morning. This was done to honor one of our teachers who is being treated for cancer. Half of our group served the adults and half of us served the children. We raised, £362.00 and this went to the Macmillan cancer support charity. Even though some of us nearly dropped a cake, people enjoyed themselves and said if we do this again they would come back. A lot of people contributed and made cakes for us to sell. There was lots of cakes... and I mean lots, so we had to sell them at the end of the day. We had a lot of fun doing this and everyone worked extremely hard to make this happen.…Read more
